Not long ago I discovered a most precious thing, my Intuos4. I saw it randomly in best buy and shelled out the 400$ in a heartbeat, I haven't regretted it in the slightest. I named my tablet Wendy and the pen Wilhelm; they’re in love! Currently my digital art skills are lacking, I'll be the first to find a billion mistakes but I'm determined to practice and get better.
Something I deeply (deeply) believe in is the power of constructive criticism. Some people do not enjoy being told what is off in their work but it is something I absolutely enjoy hearing. I'd rather be told that there are things that need fixing than to hear someone gush about how beautiful it is or how much they like it without giving any sort of advice. Of course, complements are nice.
I will say this once and I'll say it a hundred times over, should anyone wish for me to give them constructive crit they only need to ask, I know I might not know the most about art but I always try my best to help those who want it. Of course, if you don't want to hear any of it then I'll just tell you my likes and leave my criticism out the door. ;)
All I ask is if you like my work please comment and/or fave. I can almost guarantee that I'll do the same to you.

Couldn't sleep and finally got my computer back. I had to send it to a guy to fix for (drum roll please) a letter on the key board. One broke off and I just couldn't handle it! I sent it to get fixed and I got it back X key intact. lol
Yeah, fail, I know.
Other than that I apologize for not keeping up with my Sketch a Day goal. >___> That lasted longer than expected... not. lol I do enjoy these quickie sketches so I will keep requests open and I will try and post most of them. I will also try to complete and post a full scale painting. Soon, my friends, soon.
I want to practice drawing bodies, right now my comfort zone is portraits. I love

New Year New Goals

Every year we make promises to ourselves that we mostly don't intend to keep. In fact, I can't even remember last year's resolution (it was that important). So this year instead of making a list a mile long I decided for something short term. A sketch a day project starting now (05.Jan.2011) and ending anytime after February fifth (of this year... duh).
I need to remain motivated and once I get into an artistic slump I slump... like for months. So I'm going to begin the New Year productively.

I'm going to start off by saying that I am incredibly SLOW at drawing and painting. A traditional pencil drawing takes me at least 15+ hours of actual work time and a digital painting takes me months and months. I have trouble finishing digital paintings and usually stop half way when my inspiration fades. Currently I have 2 that I'm actively working on, the colored final painting of Frozen and a fan art for a show that has completely blown me away, Dexter.
I just have to vent.... WHY DOES INSPIRATION STRIKE AT THE MOST INOPPORTUNE TIMES!!!??? If I have tons of homework I have the need to draw, when I'm dead tired at 1 o'clock in the morning
